I am so thankful to have found Kasia Organic Salon! My search for a healthier hair coloring alternative brought me to Minneapolis from north of the Twin Cities. It was well worth the drive! The coloring process did not tingle or sting like the toxic colorings I have received in the past. The smell was not chemical in any way and was even pleasant. I had my hair colored/cut by the friendly stylist Colette, and cannot get over how soft my hair is and how shiny beautiful the color is.
I got a chance to speak with Kassie and am appreciative of the valuable info she shared with me. I am grateful that there are people like her out there paving the way for a healthier salon experience. I have a sister that is a stylist in Vegas and I hope to share some of Kassie’s safer color knowledge with her. I worry about the number of toxic chemicals she is exposed to everyday at work. My Mom is undergoing chemo for breast cancer and she is also excited to have a healthy option for coloring when her hair returns.
The salon was welcoming, friendly, and relaxing and I will definitely be back!

I absolutely LOVED the makeup that Kasia did for my wedding!! At our makeup trial, she listened to what I wanted, and came up with a natural and beautiful look – just what I wanted. She also did the makeup for my mom and one of my bridesmaids, and they both absolutely loved how they looked. She arrived on time on the wedding day, and she was definitely a calming presence in the room for all of us! I am so excited that I found this salon. I have lived in the cities for a little over a year now and have had a hard time finding the perfect place to get my hair cut. Kasia is definitely a perfect fit. Not only is everything organic and inexpensive, the staff is extremely friendly. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone. I made a decision last fall to stop the application of chemical coloring to my hair. I have very fine, thin hair and after years and years of chemical applications, I began to notice changes in the condition of my hair. I realize that some of the changes are due to age, and possible hormonal changes, but also felt that the chemical applications weren’t doing me any good either. I saw the profile for this new organic salon on the news a couple of weeks ago and knew that I had to give this a try. Just yesterday, I had my hair colored at Kasia with Carrie. She did a fantastic job! My hair feels like silk, color is shiny and just want I was hoping for. I definitely will be returning for color services. I love trying new things, especially when it comes to my hair. I knew I wanted a sassy cut and some highlights to brighten up the tresses, but I wasn’t exactly sure what to describe beyond that. When I told this to Colette, she lit up and look like she had a great plan in mind. Well, she definitely did. My cut is fantastic, the color is TDF, and I feel a sense of well-being knowing that all my fabulosity came with the use of natural products and without harsh chemicals.
Kasia is a full-service salon which means your stylist is also your colorist, if applicable. I learned they also have a full-time esthetician and acupuncturist and have recently been featured in Minnesota Monthly for their detox services.
Their interior is warm and inviting, quiet yet lively, and smells wonderful from both the products used as well as the four blends of tea they offer to their waiting clients. The blueberry pomegranate was phenomenal and served in a tea ball (my fave) in a big mug.
After my cut and color service was complete, Colette offered me a complimentary makeup touch up to finish off the whole look. Their products are from a line in California and have a variety of colors to compliment all skin tones. I will definitely be back to purchase the lip gloss that she picked for me – it was long-lasting without being heavy or sticky. Colette walked me through the descriptions of all the products she used for me, both hair and makeup, and wasn’t pushy about purchasing anything. Too bad I didn’t have anywhere to go that night because I looked gooooood!!
When it is time to check out, keep in mind that Kasia is paperless so you would not receive a receipt and, therefore, no place to write in a tip. You can let your stylist know to adjust the final bill to a total that includes the gratuity of your choice. 9/1/2010 I can’t say enough good things about Kasia. My family and I decided to cut out a lot of the toxins in our daily life, so I figured I try out organic hair coloring. Not only does your hair not stink from the lack of chemicals, it smells AWESOME because there is grape oil in the color! I usually hate the smell of my hair for days after, and I couldn’t get enough of the smell.
Cassie, the owner is just wonderful. She is so sweet.
This is a great salon, and it’s priced the same as any other “non-organic” salon. Definitely worth it. I tell everyone about this place.

“I have Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis (JRA) and have been on many different medications throughout my life but I always knew something was missing. I have been on an elimination diet for over two months and I am feeling the best I have ever felt physically, emotionally, and spiritually. I have eliminated wheat (gluten), yeast, soy, meat (except for some fish), dairy, corn, peanuts, citrus, caffeine, and alcohol. I have also increased my intake of fresh ginger root and plan to work turmeric into my diet. I have lost 10 pounds so far on the diet, however weight loss was not my main goal of the diet but it has helped to lose weight.
My mind has cleared of the fogginess I was experiencing and overall I have less joint and muscle pain. I am able to make better decisions and have been less edgy and aggressive (which I think was a result of eliminating meat from my diet). I have become more emotionally stable and have had a more positive attitude. I also feel more at peace because I am taking care of my health.
In the state of this being, God gave me a vision that showed me that the elimination diet is only the beginning of my healing process and that vision needs to be in the front of my mind and spirit. God gave me a glimpse of what he wants for me and what he wants me to be doing. True healing requires a complete abandonment of what you have always known and a new belief that healing is possible.
I switched to organic shampoo and conditioner which has also contributed to my healing process. I added pineapple juice and green tea to my diet in my third week of the diet. I have also been on supplements to help with detoxification, joint and muscle pain, and immune system support.
I have started a healing journal so I can record how I am feeling and eventually start decreasing my medications. I sought help from a holistic doctor on my journey which has been helpful in pinpointing what I need change; in addition Kassie has been my coach, mentor, and health educator throughout this process and I will continue to utilize her knowledge.”

i have been getting my hair done by Kassie for about a year and LOVE the results. She gives flawless haircuts and the color is always rich, long lasting and doesn’t fry my hair. The last time she did my hair it turned out an amazing blonde-without bleach! She also does many of my friends hair and they all look fabulous too!
She is also very committed to being organic and having natural products and does a TON of research to find the absolute best on the market. In addition to all fo this she is FUN and SWEET and creates a relaxing atmosphere.

I have to let you know how much I love my new La Bella Donna mineral make-up! Seriously, Collette cut and colored my hair about 2 weeks prior to the make-up event and I did receive some rave reviews from co-workers; HOWEVER, it was nothing compared to the 1st day of work following the make up event wearing my new make up!
