The Secret:

Centipeda cunnighamii, or Aloe Vera, contains over two hundred active compounds. Together they stimulate growth in skin cell fibroblasts, provide soothing anti-irritant benefits, and deliver potent anti-bacterial properties.

Application:

Use in the morning to remove sebum and at night to remove makeup and debris. Apply a very small amount to pre-moistened skin. Massage into skin with circular strokes. Rinse with tepid water.

Ingredients:

  • Aloe barbadensis (aloe vera) gel — Aloe Vera has been used externally to treat various skin conditions such as cuts, burns and eczema. Aloe increases cell wall permeability, thereby allowing nutrients easier access while facilitating the removal of toxins. Aloe is soothing, healing, moisturizing, anti-inflammatory and may help stimulate Collagen and Elastin production.
  • Decyl glucoside — A gentle surfactant that cleanse the skin without excessive drying or irritation.
  • Cocamidopropyl betainamide mea chloride — Derived from coconut – a mild quarternised foaming surfactant. Has thickening properties, is anti-irritant and acts as an anti-microbial agent. Non toxic and non-sensitizing. Unlike DEA and TEA, MEA is unlikely to form nitrosamines in cosmetic formulations.
  • Myristamine oxide — A cleansing agent, emulsifier, emollient, foam stabilizer, and viscosity booster. It is also acid and alkali stable and bleach stable. It is biodegradable.
  • Centipeda cunninghamii extract — Centipeda cunnighamii extract is an herb cultivated organically from the indigenous tribes rooted in the outback of Australia. Used in its pure form by excluding any processing of alcohol or solvents. For centuries the Aborigines have used this herb medicinally to treat various skin conditions. Combating many skin ailments, this extract contains potent anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial properties as well as soothing anti irritant benefits.
  • Hydrolyzed oat protein — A natural humectant clinically proven to increase hydration. Used in skin care products to smooth fine lines and wrinkles.
  • Panthenol — A non-irritating form of Vitamin B that is usually derived from plants. When this natural, hydrating vitamin is applied externally, it penetrates into lower skin layers, gets absorbed into your skin cells and turns into pantothenic acid (commonly known as Vitamin B5). Because panthenol is absorbed deeply into the skin, it adds essential moisture and has a desirable plumping effect.
  • Phosphorus — A combination of key proteins, vitamins, and minerals are vital to healthy skin. The minerals in the complex penetrate the skins basal layer to replenish devitalized cells. The absorption of necessary minerals is vital to the nourishment of the skin cells.
  • Magnesium ascorbyl phosphate — It is non-irritating and more stable than vitamin C. Most importantly, magnesuim ascorbyl phosphate appears to have the same potential as vitamin C to boost skin collagen synthesis but is effective in significantly lower concentrations.
  • Calcium pantothenate — Also known as pantothenic acid. The minerals in the complex penetrate the skins basal layer to replenish devitalized cells. The absorption of necessary minerals is vital to the nourishment of the skin cells.
  • Magnesium salicylate — Salicylic Acid. This Beta Hydroxy Acid improves the appearance and condition of the skin. Its micro-exfoliating action causes a slow movement of the superficial cells that are already old, forcing the deep layers to replace them with younger cells. In addition to its exfoliating action, salicylic acid is also used an anti-microbial in medicine.
  • Zinc gluconate — Promotes healing
  • Hydroxyethylcellulose — Hydroxyethylcellulose is a modified fiber component of plants that is used as a thickening agent and to bind other ingredients together.
  • Dehydroacetic acid — Used as an anti microbial agent to protect product integrity over time.
  • Benzyl alcohol — A naturally occurring essential oil compound that is part of the pure essential oil blend that makes up the scent of a formulation. Benzyl alcohol has solvent and antimicrobial properties and is naturally occurring in pure essential oils such as clove, jasmine, and wallflower.

Skin Care Tip: When it comes to your skin, take a lesson from fish.  AVOID washing your skin with a bar of soap. The binders that hold a bar of soap together naturally have a high pH balance, resulting in being too strong for the skin.  By washing with soaps that are too harsh, you strip the water out of the skin leaving it dehydrated with dry skin cell build up.  Your skin then has to play ‘catchup’  and one will over-moisturizer to put back in what you just took out…

Wash with a Kasia REFRESH and avoid pulling water out of the skin every time you wash.
